Look closely at the 4th photo off the S6 on the AudiUSA website. If you look at it fullscreen, you can see that the date on the driver's screen is shown as 8/31/2012.
I wonder if that's a hint. I asked my dealer and he could not confirm the 9/28 date as of yet.

Those are the only two cars for this dealer (two more in the Chicago area) that have production dates.

Was at the dealer today. System still shows 9/17 for week of delivery. Could change though as there are rumors of a hold. Should know more soon hopefully and should also have a VIN soon, it was supposed to be built this week.
Still hoping for delivery the week of the 17th...we shall see.

The order was actually placed in March by the dealer. I went to the dealership in June and it wasn't sold yet and they changed the order to my specficiations. I am excited...I need it to cheer me up, it has been a rough summer...
They actually have another order they placed in June that isn't sold yet.
If I find out any additional information about a hold I will post it.
