I talked to my dealer - they have one "in inventory" online. They said it is in transit and will arrive around 9/17. I told them to chalk me up for a test drive. I'd better leave my wallet at home!

I called the sales manager yesterday. He said that my S6 was "released to the manufacturer" on 8/23. There were no other dates supplied to the dealer. I asked what does RTM mean as far as dates go, and he couldn't say. My order was on 7/28. He told me that someone ordered one before they were available to order on 6/20. The 6/20 order had an arrival port date of 12/3 (Into Houston). He said the 12/3 would certainly move up. He said Audi classically puts a long date out there only to pull it in. The margin that goes into the design is also rolled into the schedule 
I have no idea what to do except wait. The dealer is getting one on Sept 5th, so I'll be able to see it and drive it, but that's about it. That first dealer order was scheduled to arrive into Houston on 8/30. I don't know when the dealer ordered the first one. I'll take pics and post when I see it.

I stopped by my dealer yesterday and they told me my order was pushed back to end of January.
I placed my order on July 16th and was told the next day that Audi had accepted it into the build queue and it had a November delivery. They called me 2 weeks later and said it was moved up to October.
This sounds pretty fishy to me, i'm wondering if they sold my slot and gave me the next one, anyone else had something like this happen? I really dont want to wait 6 months but i also dont want to cancel it and risk taking longer.

I just got mine moved back from sept 17 to oct 1 (but it's been bouncing around those two dates - and they warned me this may happen when they told me sept 17) - i have a VIN so hopefully that locks me in.... I pre-ordered in April. Painfully long wait. Dying to hear any reviews when people get behind the wheel.
