I prefer Chevron and Shell. Both are Top Tier Gas.

I refuse to use pretty much anything else, especially Citgo.
Citgo = Brazil = Hugo Chavez. I'm not supporting that thug. I hope his death from cancer is as slow and painful as possible.

1. Shell when I can find one
2. Sunoco

Nothing else as I don't have any of the other preferred vendors.

Shouldn't Brazil be Venezuela?

Always been a patron of Shell except for my time in Philly where Sunoco was king.

Default My cousin was a gasoline truck driver/deliverer

First to answer your question--Sunoco would be my choice but it is not sold in California. Here my first choice is Chevron and my second is 76 (now part of Conoco Phillips). And generally nothing better than 91 octane is available.

My cousin picked up his (Texaco) loads at the same depot as the drivers delivering to every other gasoline brand. The gas already has generic additives/detergents, etc. at that point.

The only thing unique to the brand is the adding of 1 QUART of proprietary additives per 8,000 GALLONS!

So I probably am buying Chevron because their marketing works the best for me rather than because their gasoline is better.

My guy at GoodSpeed told me that the additive of Techron can sometime result in a loss of power with Chevron Fuels. Has anyone else had that? Our fuel in AZ is terrible to begin with and wont result in the power that the rest of the US will have comparing 91 to 91 but we cannot do anything about that. Has anyone else been told the same thing about the Techron?
