What Can Dealer Find Out?

Just heard from my dealer (PA). He says "Your car is scheduled to land in Davisville, [RI] where all our cars come from. We no longer get cars from Baltimore, MD. They changed that years ago. "
Anyone hear this?
This comes from Google
"North Atlantic Distribution, Inc. (NORAD) is a privately owned company located at the Port of Davisville in Rhode Island. NORAD is one of the largest auto importers in North America, serving as a port of entry, processing center and distribution hub for imported and domestic vehicles."
"Current customers include VW/Audi of America, Subaru of New England, Bentley Motorcars and Porsche Cars North America Inc."
"Cracking the Top 5, Davisville Now Larger Importer than Baltimore, L.A. and Savannah
Quonset’s Port of Davisville now ranks as the fifth busiest auto importer in North America, according to new statistics compiled by PIERS Maritime Research Services and the Quonset Development Corporation (QDC).
The PIERS data, which analyzed the top 37 auto importers on the continent for the time period November 2007 to October 2008, found that the Port of Davisville has now surpassed ports in Baltimore, Los Angeles, Vancouver, and Savannah, among others."
From another forum:
"On average, ships leave every 3-5 days to cross the Atlantic.
ONCE IN PORT: Most standard order cars (configuration selected by the dealer as most likely to sell to their typical customer) pass through Customs quickly, with about 1 in 12 or so being held up by random Customs inspections. Once the car has cleared Customs, the dealer has paid for it. Special order cars (customised by the customer and not available anywhere in the USA from stock at another dealer) are sampled more frequently and may have Customs Hold times of up to 7 days. The Audi tracking system will show "Customs Hold" during the time it left the dock until it leaves the Customs area.
After that, everything gets VAGUE! Once "Release to Carrier" occurs, the dealer loses the ability to track the whereabouts of the vehicle until it gets delivered at their doorstep on the car transporter. These can arrive at any time of day or night, including Saturdays and Sundays. To avoid traffic, they seem to typically arrive during the night between 9pm to 7am(!).
Brunswick GA to Clearwater FL is 280miles / 460km. In our case, the timing was:
2010-12-05 (Port Hold)
2010-12-07 (Customs Hold)
2010-12-14 (Release to Carrier)
2010-12-17 (Released to Carrier)
2010-12-22 (Delivered) [found on forecourt/front lot at 8am]
A total of SEVENTEEN days to do a 6 hour delivery run! Compare that to the trip from factory to port (<24 hours) and port-to-port (17 days)....."

That was just an example. Notice it's over two years old. I got my car at Knopf in Allentown, PA. They've always been decent to me (lent me a car for a 900 mile trip a few months ago. Over the top for a car dealer).
