Still...a 2020 in Feb 2020 when usually you get a 2020 in July/August of 2019....they will have to do something to get back on track...

the notion of usually getting the next model year in fall is antiquated. Audi, and others, routinely spread their new models across a model year now. Many others brands do exactly the same thing.

Example: 2018 Q5’s came out in March of 17. 2020 R8s came out early this past summer.

Sounds like a dealer who has 30 A6’s is a big dealer. I’d expect them to have that many.

My dealer told me last week that the S6 will be delayed until 2021. S7 is out now and RS6 to follow early to mid next year.

Considering some 2020 S6s are already built, I doubt there is any delay until 2021.

My local dealer also shows 3 in transit, and what seems to be a single S6 in inventory. Hopefully I'll be able to take a look soon when I take my car in for service next week.

I ordered an S6 in October, was informed it was loaded onto the boat 12/16, expected delivery date is mid to late January 2020.
