Hello to All:
Yesterday I installed a battery tender connection at the battery terminals. I had to lift one of the cables attached to the positive side of the battery for just a second so that I could land the positive side of the battery tender cabling. All work seemed to go well.
After done I started the car and noticed that the odometer number was now displaying DEF instead of the current mileage. Also the trip number is now full of .......
I have tried to clear all of the codes using a VAG-COM tool, but with not luck.
Has anyone experienced this before?
Whats needs to be done to restore the mileage number in the odometer?
Thoughts?
Thank You...

Unfortunately I haven't figure it out yet. I did get the vehicle to crank and start however the IMMO kicks in shortly and the hazards flash ....vehicle still runs due to the ECU being immo delete.... ...still DEF on the dash ...looking to swap cluster and ignition next to see what happens!

Hello to All: The "DEF" message in odometer dash display is an indication that the dash panel has a major failure. I had to have the complete dash panel replaced by an Audi dealer. All has been good since the replacement of the dash panel...
