I was waiting to take some pictures of my new S7 in the bright sun before posting, but for now these pics with evening coastal marine layer in the sky will have to suffice (interesting reflections off the car). I like how it drives so far and find the huge torque to be effortlessly available, which is fairly entertaining. I can't comment on the transmission yet - not enough miles for me to know how it behaves. I do have v0609 software, which is great for streaming audio from my phone with all song details. And I love the color - I am really glad I paid up for Daytona Gray.
I owe a big thanks to everyone on this and the S6 and A7 boards for sharing your experiences and insight with these limited availability vehicles (there are too many of you to name individually, but you know who you are and how generous you were with your time). Reading all the posts appropriately set my expectations about the build and delivery timeframe, purchase experience, and vehicle performance. Plus, the posts and pictures helped me deal with the 4 month wait for the Audi Individual color production.

Congrats on your purchase!
That is a beautiful car and the color will probably be my choice as well. I am looking to order my 2014 next month once pricing for the S and RS become available.
Looking forward to your impressions on the car.
Cheers,
F*

That is a beauty, I see you are located in San Diego (hoehn) when you are done with your break in period do you want test your S7 against a tuned A7? I have driven both and I feel them really similar but I am really curious about it, maybe after that you will tune yours and make it a beast. PM if you are interested.

I believe that with Audis one can order almost any color even if not a standard color for that particular car. It costs more and may take more time to build from what i hear.

It's a special order paint charge.
Daytona is a nice color and you can get it for a $500 metallic paint upgrade on an a6 or a7.
I had it on my 2008 a6 4.2. But if Audi doesn't offer it on a model, now it's $3900.
I like it, but not $3900 worth of like.
