Default S7 Bose System

Just had delivered a new S7 and quite disappointed in the quality and absence of sound controls on the standard Bose audio system - other than a B&O upgrade what choices exist to improve performance?

Forget the B&O option after the fact. Probably a $10K+ modification if even possible.

Try a search on the A6 and A7 forums for "Bose". There are a few threads posted by those who upgraded the Bose sub and amp for improved sound for a very reasonable cost.

I guess they use the same Bose system for the S7 as well. I wish they used the cheaper version of the B&O for the A7 and S7 as standard.

Default B & 0 system

I made the same mistake when I ordered my S7. Thought it wouldn't be a big difference. Boy was I wrong. The B&O system in my Allroad has more range in frequency response. The only way around it is to EQ your music on your media device. $0 cost but you have to fiddle with your Ipad.

I hated the Bose in my A7 but after reading some posts, I made some changes via the MMI and it sounds MUCH better now.
Going from memory:
Sound focus = front.
Adjust the base and treble up just slightly

Something like that.

In the words of Spinal Tap - I wish the amp would go to 11. (or 31 in our system)

Seriously - thats my biggest beef is that it is pretty underwhelming from a power standpoint, and unfortunately, I can't see myself going into a aftermarket car stereo shop to have that kind of work done.

I was thinking the same . but at my age with hearing lose. It doesnt matter about the stereo any more. I looking forward to driving it then worrying about the stereo these days. I looking at putting the awe exhaust system on the car anyway.
