How is APR different from GIAC and Stasis for the A7. I figured they would have a flash for the S7 also and warranty.

No one has a warranty on an S7 flash to my knowledge. I have had APR software on many Audi's, exceptional stuff, never a single issue. The put massive R&D into there tunes, they give exceptional performance gains with out pushing the envelope on reliability. Example: On the S7 they keep the car at factory torque levels during the initial rollout on launch control before allowing full torque as to not jolt the stronic transmission. Check out goapr.com for info on the product.

Audi claims 420 and 405 stock on the S7. APR got 480 and 460 on a baseline stock dyno. The APR 93 tune takes the car to 580 and 560tq.

That said- if someone has an S7 tune that is fully backed with warranty I want to see it.

The only reason they detune the S7 was so they could charge 25K more for the RS7 with the same horsepower as a tuned S7. Nobody would pay 25k for plastic but would for horsepower and plastic.

And which manufacturer is not guilty of such a transparent marketing ploy? It's also worth noting that there are significant mechanical upgrades to the high-power versions of the 4.0TT (S8, RS6/7) - it's not just a software tune.

Yes but Audi is exaggerating with their underrated numbers, even the A7 is stock around 355hp, the same thing with the S7 they say 420 and it is really 480, look at the YouTube video of the Alpina vs the S8 same underrated numbers (the narrator does a wrong calculation he says 479whp at 20% drivetrain loss is 575 (479x1.20) when the right way to do so is 479/0.80 that is almost 599hp)
So with those three examples you can get the real stock number by multiplying times 1.15 (give or take)
It works with the S8 (520x1.15=598), it works with the S7 (420x1.15=483) and it works with the A7 (310x1.15=356)
I AM SURE the real horsepower of the RS7 is NOT 560x1.15=644, maybe something around the S8 600hp real number.
So it is only a practice to sell the top of the line cars vs the "lower" ones.

Default ECU Flash

Prestige imports in Miami quoted me $4923.00 for the upgrade to 555HP using MTM's Cantronic: http://www.mtm-online.de/en/products...=m0s7420555qmv

Click on the performance link. Activation is through the MMI and if you are technically inclined you can do the installation yourself.

Audi will also release a 560HP stock S7 in Germany which we will probably not see here in the US.

Where did you get that info about a S7 with 560hp? I Dont think Audi will have two different models with two different prices at the same (advertised) horsepower rating (s7 and rs7)
