I am running Pirelli 275/35/r21 on my 2020 S7. Great all around all weather rubber.

Default Need help!

HELP ME!

I can really use some experienced help. I’ve blown 5 tires since getting my new Audi S7 in late January. I’ve gone to hell and back dealing with the dealer and Audi corporate and and stuck having to make a hard decision. The car wasnt engineered properly for this rim and tire setup. The Bridgestones 255/35/R21 can’t make it done the road without the fear of hitting a qtip and then popping. I am behind frustrated and this is my 8th yes 8th Audi. I’ve had some issues in the past with my S5 and swapped the OEMs for Michelins pretty quickly but this car is so problematic with this setup. Six figure car and they don’t even give you a spare only some bs electric pump which is useless. Have to tow each time you get a flat. I thought this car would be a great daily driver but far from it with these wheels and tires. If i give the car back I’m under water given this **** storm of a car market we are in, so my only choice is to get a new wheel and tire setup. Would be great to just get new tires but firmly believe I need to decrease the rim size to 20” maybe even 19”. If any of you have any ideas on what the max tire size is I can increase to with these 21” black optic rims to avoid blowouts and bubbles or do I really need to swamp everything out. Greatly appreciate any insight.

I have been running the factory 21" setup on my 2020 S7 for almost two year. From the roads in New England down I95 to Florida without any issues.

Default Tire Update

So after swapping my 22” stock rims to 20” and wrapped with Michelins my problems were solved. Audi really needs to address this issue with their engineers. The car isn’t driveable with the stock rims and Bridgestone tires it was equipped with. I was on dozen calls with the dealer and lawyers to see if this was a lemon law issue having had blown 5 tires in 45 days and being stranded on the side of the road without a spare and only the prefilled tire air compressor which couldn’t fill a football if you tried. After no avail and no legal recourse I had to reduce the tire size. Spending 102k on a car you’d think freehold Audi or corporate Audi would have handled this better. I caution anyone getting into any S Model Audi sedan to order the car with the smaller wheel size and fight to have Michelins only given they are soft composite and offer more give.
