S7 front license plate holder

I took delivery of a new 2021 S7 last week and I've been smiling a lot since. Because of Covid I couldn't get new plates right away and have a temporary paper plate on the rear (snaps to DMV for being smart about this). What's strange to me is that there is no front plate holder and my dealer tells me the front plate is just screwed directly into the plastic bumper. I can see how this is possible but I don't like the idea. It seems cheap and unfinished on such a nice (and expensive) car, so I don't believe him. Oddly I can't find any pictures online of a C8 S7 with a US front plate. Help! Does a nice plate holder exist? Picture?
Also, like for many others I have read, the little plastic trim piece is missing on the front grill directly below the forward camera. Really Audi? The dealer is getting one for me. What am I not understanding here?
Thanks,
JR

I concur with your front plate mount observation. It's the same on my 2021 S7, with two self tapping screws on the plate bottom directly into the bumper. I plan to add 2 additional self tapping screws to the plate bottom.

I always prefer deleting the front license plate from the cars I have ordered mainly based on looks. It's only required in most states when a license plate holder is installed/available on the vehicle ... last I heard.

In Massachusetts it's an immediate fail on the annual safety inspection if you don't have a front plate. They send you away without even doing the rest. The only exception is for antique cars with registered antique plates. The trick is to at least zip tie your front plate on for the inspection, and then cut it off for a year if you don't like the looks of it. Not legal, but neither is breaking the speed limit, which I hear some people do.
