Somebody give me a primer on the Audi club.
I've never belonged to a car club and have only a vague idea of what's involved.
Cost? Benefits? Activities? Other?

Well..
Since I started the NorCal Audi club in July 1997..I guess I can comment. It is a way to get together periodically with people who have the same car and some of the same interests. You can get parts sometimes..sell stuff to trusted people..not just people on craigslist. As for the National club..you get the quattro club quarterly...4X per year...and discounts for parts and service at some dealerships and shops. You also get to attend high performance driving schools around the region for a cost of about $300-500/2 day event (depending on location). There are also get togethers for wine tasting..drives on the beach or in the mountain canyons...etc.

To add to what Steve says...it is a great way to meet people who love Audis and love to drive.
Audi Club North America is the only Audi club sponsored by Audi of America. If you are a member, for example, and buy a new Audi...you receive an additional $500 discount towards your purchase. Like any club...it is what you make it and your degree of involvement. The Golden Gate club organizes 3 DE events at tracks around NorCal, Ski trip, Teen Clinics, Wine drives, Picnic(this weekend), hospitality tents at ALMS Laguna Seca (170 attended last year, tailgate parties, Tahoe drive, etc.

Utah Audi Club
Many of the activities planned and some already in place, do not require you be a member of the club. But we are hoping to get everybody to join the club. More members, means more ability to provide driving events such as driving schools at Miller track, winter driving schools, etc. The national Audi club has indicated that we have about 80 to 90 members in Utah.
We are already have regular lunches with about 10 to 12 people attending each lunch. We are planning a get-together during the World of Speed event on the salt flats, a teen driving clinic, a few canyon runs, attending and participating in some of the local car shows and a mystery run. Hopefully, with input from our members, we are shooting for a couple small activities per month with a driving event every couple of months. If you need more information, my email is cdavisfam4@aol.com.
Thanks, Clark Davis
