I work in downtown Park City and decided to leave work at 11:45 and head back home to Draper. Bad mistake. It took 3 1/2 hours to get home!!! Anyone else get stuck up in Parleys?

and while it was clear right there at the store, you could see out west a storm was coming in.
At 11:15am, when I left the store, there was an inch of snow on the ground.
Picked a bad time to leave work.

and grapple was just starting to fall. By the time I made it up to Wasatch Blvd it was a complete white out and a skating rink. It was a lot of fun in a 2wd Ford F150 pos ![Smile](https://www.audiworld.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)

They could be better but still no problems.... Until I decided to detour into East Canyon to get some fresh tracks. So much snow got packed into my engine compartment it made the timing belt skip.
But good thing the rabbit is ghetto and low compression. Called friend, got tools, back on the road!
Still nothing beats Quattro with snow tires!

I heard that you fought a "speeding for conditions" ticket a while back.
What happened, and do you have any advice on how to fight it?
Background: I just recieved one for going the posted speed limit and there was maybe an inch on snow on the side of the road, the road itself was fine.
TIA

which is where you plea guilty, but if you have good behavior for x amount of time (3-12 months), it gets wiped from your record.
But if you really want to fight here is how I got out of it.
A. AWD
B. Snow tires
C. WINTER DRIVING SCHOOL
The judge said the last one was the most important part.
But really, it took me 4 trips to the court building (3 involving a judge). About 8 hours of my time. To save a $92 ticket.

maybe 30 minutes the first day when I went to talk to the court clerk. Who told me the fine, but then scheduled me for an "arraignment date".
The arraignment date was an appearance in front of a judge, but the prosecutor/cop is not there. You make your plea: guilty, not guilty, no contest. The judge will offer you plea with abeyance if your eligible for it.
If you go not guilty, you get a bench trial. The prosecutor will be there and the cop should be there. First time for me, the cop did not show up. And rather than dismiss the case, the judge gave the state a continuance.
So yet another bench trial, this time the cop did show up. Do the whole testify, cross examine, etc.
As I said for me, the judge sided with me as I had been to a winter driving school (ACNA event in Steamboat in 06). The AWD and snow tires didn't really help much from what I could tell.
I got the ticket in March and the finally declared innocent in August. Self represented as well.
