Not the engine, or the design, or the seats...cup holders, we're talkin bout cup holders...
I don't go around flashing my new ride but plenty have seen it...and none mentioned the cup holders. While they aren't made for huge drinks I'm in no rush to have a huge drink in my brand new car anyways.

I'm no fan of the cupholders, but I'm at a loss for how they could have been done differently while still maintaining the excellent placement and ergonomics of the shifter (aka wrist-rest) and the MMI wheel. I sat in a Q5 today and saw how the cupholders are just in front of the armrest. That's even worse because they would be in the way of your arm. So I guess it could be worse.

Forget the cupholder, place this under the seat and have as much liquid as you need!

and as a scrawny triathlete, I was wondering how the average americano fits in these seats with the bolsters really holding them in... Cue to me pulling up to a cool Porsche turbo at deli to get my kid a sammi a few days ago and the guy driving it smoking a stogey and at least 50lbs overweight...
i haven't dranken a coffee yet in my car, but I am sure it's fine!

While they are too far forward for my tastes, they are still fairly functional as long as you don't use super huge mugs/cups.
They are perfectly fine for cans and most cups... when you start getting into huge 32oz+ cups, its borderline.
Definitely not a deal breaker for me.
