i know there are alot of pictures out there showing Q5 (2012) fuxebox but i'm looking for something that would show which ones are "accessory" type slot and which ones are "always battery".
For my dashcam installation, on the driver side, I tapped the second fuse from the bottom in column A (left fuse bank) which is used for the side assist. For the battery line, I tapped the blue 15 amp fuse in column B (center fuse bank) which I think is the fuse for the horn. The details of my install are here.
I don't have a diagram that has each fuse marked as accessory versus always on, but here's the standard diagrams for reference. If you get a $10 circuit tester, you can know pretty definitively.

Riceboy,
Thx for sharing this info. I have been thinking about adding dash cams and would be interested in which you got and what has been your experience so far.

TLDR; I think the Thinkware F770 is awesome so far. I considered this and the Blackvue, but the deciding factor was that the F770 had 1080p cameras front and rear while the Blackvue was 1080p only for the front camera. I think the Blackvue is a nicer looking unit if that is important. Installation was really easy.
finallly got it installed, it took me 35 min. and it was quite easy. I didn't even take the Pillar A out, i just removed the Airbag tag/snap-in and that loosen the Pillar. i ran the cable in the ceilling then the pillar.
The unit is about 3/4 inch longer then original cover and 1/2 thicker.
