Default 2019 SQ5 Alternator failure

Wondering if this is a common problem. My alternator failed (not charging the battery) after 3,600Km (2,200 miles). I noticed the engine turning over slower than usual when starting and then later that day got an "Electrical System Malfunction" error and the yellow battery symbol appeared on the dash. It was fixed under warranty but they said they had to order the alternator from Germany so it took a week. Just wanted to give people a heads up if they experience similar symptoms.

No, not a common problem on a vehicle with 2200 miles.

I know there was somebody else who reported this. But I'm with Miser Bally, not common.

My 2018 SQ5 is in the shop right now. FYI, you have about 150km of range on a full battery. Cost $1700Cdn and the part will take 2-3 weeks to come from Germany.
