Is there a way to know if your vehicle is part of the list for the recall ? dont want to wait around for a letter from the dealer to know its unsafe to drive the car. Seems weird they are calling a recall which has increased risk of crash and waiting for 2 months to send out notices to recall ?
Summary: Volkswagen Group of America, Inc. (Volkswagen) is recalling certain 2021-2023 Audi Q5 Sportback, Q5, 2022-2023 Volkswagen Atlas FL, and Atlas Cross Sport vehicles. The engine connecting rod bearings may become damaged, which can result in engine failure.
Consequence: A damaged engine can result in engine failure and a stall, increasing the risk of a crash. If the engine failure causes an oil leak, this can (in rare cases) increase the risk of a fire.
Remedy: Dealers will inspect and, if necessary, replace an affected engine, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed December 6, 2022. Owners may contact Volkswagen's customer service at 1-800-893-5298 and Audi's customer service at 1-800-253-2834. Volkswagen's numbers for this recall are 13i4 (VW) and 13i5 (Audi).
Notes: Owners may also contact the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236 (TTY 1-800-424-9153), or go to www.nhtsa.gov.

I searched for recalls on my app under the recall and service section. After inputting my VIN it showed the recall for the engine connecting rod. I haven't received any letter yet, but I'm going to have it taken care of when I bring it in for my oil service in two weeks.
If you want to know if your car is slated for this recall, check on the Audi app.

I have a '23 Q5 and the same problem happened just few days ago. rear view camera went black screen. Everything went to normal when I put gear back to P then R.
Not sure if I need to do anything cuz my model is not on the recall list.

The NHTSA should be current though. They are the regulatory body that is triggering the recalls.

I found 2 places where it can be checked.
I'm logged into myAudi app. It shows the notification there.
I found a website as well where you can input your VIN and it would show if there's any active recall for your vehicle - https://web.audiusa.com/recall/
This or any regional site as per your location.
