2018 Audi Q5 seatbelt stuck around front passenger headrest
Hi, new to forum. 2018 Audi Q5. My kid wrapped the front seatbelt around the front passenger side headrest and it is very stuck. No give to the seatbelt due to the tensioner and I have tried to move the seat in any/all directions to unwrap the belt with no luck. Wondering if anyone has figured out how to remove the front headrest? All my googling and YouTubing has not given me an answer. Or, if that is not possible, can I release the seat belt tensioner enough to get slack to unwrap the seatbelt? Feeling stuck and would really appreciate some guidance.
Doesn't look like removing the headrest is a simple task at all. Can't let people have the too easy chance of driving around without their headrests installed.
Even that task of removing the backrest cover is not simple. I guess if nothing else, a sawzall can free it.
Thank you very much for helping me to get this fixed. The suggestions worked and I was able to remove the seat back rest cover, find the release buttons and remove the headrest!
