Default Headlight replacement

Hi! I apologize for layman's terms as I'm not a car person, I have an Audi A6 quattro 2006 and it's default headlights are dead, I know they're fancy with like moving lights n stuff. I want to downgrade them to just standard headlights but what I can't figure out is if it'll be just a plug and play or if more work is required in wiring and maybe 'programming' them.

what do you mean by dead? These are notorius at disintegrating wires inside the headlight. This can be fixed.

Just did the refurbishment of my headlights, changed parabolas, fixed wiring, replaced plastic covers, sealed and put back. Yeah, it is a terrible spring as you have to disassemble the light completly, but its worth it. I did the xenon replacement for LEDs and it shines bright like a diamond now Good luck.

Edit: If you dont want to undergo the refurbishment proces, try to take a look on aliexpress. There are beautiful front lights, non oem, ofcourse. Maybe this: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005...Cquery_from%3A

funny thing is that those lights from the link dont actually look bad at all.

10 yers ago people would say, those are ugly chinese aftermarket lights, but today, they are on par to stock looking lights from new cars that now actually look like chinese lights 10 years ago.

oh how the time changed. Or chinese actually just had a vision where the design is heading.
