Looking for a used Audi and think I will avoid the B8s due to engine issues. I prefer manual transmissions and that makes it super hard to find a used car. In Canada only 2017 and 2018 B9s were sold with manual transmissions. Found a 2017 but cringed when I read that the car has 220K on it. Is 220K too high to consider this car? It us equipped with the 2.0 turbo engine.
Any advise will be appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

220 k - as in 220,000 miles or 220,000 km? 220,000 km is not excessive. Lots of A4s running around with more mileage than that. The more important questions are maintenance history, vehicle condition and price and besides a standard transmission, what are your priorities? If you want long term reliability and lower ongoing costs there are probably better choices than an A4. You might also consider opening up your options to cars with the S tronic transmission which may give you a better selection of lower mileage cars that may be more gently driven. Standard transmission cars may have the crap driven out of them if they were owned by an aggressive driver.
A 2017 is now a 7 year old car and at that mileage is starting to enter the higher maintenance phase. Which version of the car are you looking at. The Komfort generally has less electronic stuff and the Technik more electronic stuff and electronic stuff is the most common problem area on all cars.

136,000+ miles? Are you planning on installing a tune?
