Default Rattling noise

I have an Audi q7 2013 supercharger. For a few weeks now when I crank the car it rattles for a few seconds .. Any idea what could be my issue??

Typically, that is the upper timing chain tensioners. My S5 did this and I was able to have them replaced with the improved versions. 40,000 miles later never another rattle.

it's a 'known issue". Mine does it, too, but only randomly. As long as it isn't a nonstop rattle, it's "serviceable" and Audi says it is fine, won't hurt anything.
One day, I'll get around to pulling my engine and doing the chains and guides update..

Our TDI would sometimes rattle its T chains on start up after Audi switched to 0/30 507 spec oil. ( I’m told it is Mobil 1) I switched from the Audi branded 0/30 to Mobil 1 ESP 5/30 and it hasn’t rattled on start up in the past year. Slight viscosity change but it made a difference.

I'll second that; had same issue with our '15 TDI after bought the 'factory oil change kit' which came in the 0W30...it was on sale-sale for like $86 all-in; I was weak, LOL . TDI definitely needs the 5W30 for normal climate running.

I do see that Autozone has the Mobil 1 ESP 5W30 (meets VW oil spec 505 and 507, if memory serves, but definitely the TDI 507) in 5qt jug for like $36 currently and also with promo for free oil filter or other swag items. While I wouldn't recommend running it to 10k miles oil intervals, it'd be just fine on shorter change intervals, IMHO, and quite affordable for the DIYer, which takes the sting out of reduced intervals on oil changes.

I run (in my 3.0T) The FCP Euro LM 5w40 oil change.kit. Using their 'lifetime warranty', my oil changes end up costing me $15 (the return shipping cost) and that's easy on the wallet. I still get the random 'start-up rattle' about 1:10 startups
