Q5 Homelink not working
2024 Q5 Homelink won’t recognize my opener at all- stays stuck on the point opener at rear view mirror stage. Previously had no issues pairing 2011 and 2015 Q5’s, and recently wife’s 2024 Volvo V60. (took all of 30 seconds).
Have tried turning off all driver assist systems, no luck. Opener frequency should be fine, so removing fuse as some indicated doesn’t apply.
Anyone solve this issue?
Thanks!

It initially recognized the hand held opener, but never synced with the garage door motor after going through all Audi's recommended steps. Did a reset, and hasn't recognized the hand held opener since...

But with current openers, the handheld does nothing. All the programming has to be done by pressing the program button on the opener itself and connecting the homelink directly to the opener.

It can be frustrating, but I've never had an issue with our Audis on our LiftMaster, but did you delete all and start over? Different opener manufacturers have different procedures, so I'd check there, too.
Since it recognized once but did not link, I'd try a delete and start over after checking with the opener model. No need to reset all your MMI settings.
Deleting programmed systems
The programmed systems can be deleted individually
or all at once.
> Applies to: MMI: Select on the home screen:
VEHICLE > Settings & Service > Garage door
opener.
> Press the edit button.
> To delete an individual system, press the
button for the desired system. If the checkmark
V is set, select: Delete.
> To delete all systems, select: All > Delete.
edit: After seeing AtlantaA6 post there is another possibility. If your opener mentions D mode, that is also a setting available in the MMI. My old opener uses standard but not all do:
In Standard Mode, the car learns to emit the same signal that is sent by the remote and is then paired to the receiver (garage door opener, gate opener, etc).
D-Mode is used if the device you're pairing with doesn't have a remote available but has a "Learn" or "Program" button. It allows you to program the vehicle to communicate directly with the device's receiver without having to pair a remote first. In this mode, the receiver learns the signal.

Thanks for your reply. I did delete the system that initially was recognized, made no difference.
Anything I have to change in MMI/Homelink settings to try D mode. My opener does both, and we programmed Volvos and my previous Q 5's that way, but my '24's Homelink didn't recognize when I tried this...

Sorry it's not working--all 3 Audis recently I just followed the prompts on the MMI, learned it next to the mirror, and then I think on the second press of the icon it worked even though my opener has a Learn button (which I never touched). 30 year old LiftMaster.

I initially had problems with mine and removing the fuse fixed the issue. Mine usually hung up when it asked if the garage door was moving. It wasn’t so I kept replying “no”. Recently I was adding my daughter’s house to my car. When it got to the question regarding the door moving I said “yes” even though it wasn’t. Programmed the opener no problem and it works perfectly. This last time I didn’t remove the fuse. Weird.

I know some years of honelink have issues with certain openers, in particular chamberlain/lift master openers with a purple button/purple antenna
what opener do you have and if it’s a chamberlain or lift master what color antenna?
