Default Audi A4 B9 floor noise dampening

I am planning to improve Audi A4 B9 floor and front wheel arches noise dampening.
How big work ti is? For how many days as DIY.
I have some experience with door, rear wheel arches and trunk floor noise dampening but first timer in floor under carpet noise dampening.
I did not find any detailed information about A4 B9, but generally front seats, gearbox covering plastic, lot of plastic trims and carpet need to be removed. Is there anything what can surprise me or what cannot be guessed?
How thick noise insulation will fit to the floor without any problems?

I find little disappointing information.
https://www.audizine.com/forum/showt...-it-s-tracks-(
It tells there no point for floor dampening, it is about older A4 but I expect it is same for B9.
Main cause of the issue is that carpet is foam molded from back side, image is from B8 but probably it is same on B9 carpet.

I also find noise measurements comparison of fully damped older A6 and stock one.:
This is also little disappointing, noise is reduced little lower than 5 dB only on some specific frequencies.

That would make sense, these cars already have a lot of sound deadening in the floor, you'd be better off isolating the wheel arches and door panels I think as they are less dampened from the factory. I have had my carpet partially pulled up in the past and can confirm that there is a thick layer of moulded foam under it (about 10cm in thickness).

I had rear wheel arches already additionally sound isolated. I understand front wheel arches are from internal side only accessible when carpet is removed or they can be noise damped leaving carper on its place?
Or carpet is needed to remove only partially?

I decided to remove carpet, it is possible, no big problems, work for 2 beginners is less than one day.
But I find under carpet at driver and passengers side one strange thing.
It is white cable where one wire is naked outside and in spiral on other and one end is open, other had 2 insulated folio pieces, cable is not connected to anything, just lie on the other cables.
What it is, for what, can I remove this, can I left it under Dynamat kind damping material with folio, or I need to put it on the damping material?
Image also wit this cable.
