Default Adding Navigation

New to this forum, I just recently bought a 2006 A6 Quattro 3.2. It's got a few miles on it but it's clean and runs good. I want to add navigation to it so I went to the wrecking yard and picked up the Nav dvd player from a 2007 from the trunk. As I started to install it in mine I figured the wires for it would already be there but they are not or at least I can't find them. Can anyone point me in the right direction to get this working please. Are there more to it then just installing what I have?

Its a pretty simple retrofit -
you'll need the power connector from a scrapper ( or get one direct from Audi) and tag it into the tuner module ( left hand side of boot) - I also added inline fuse. you will then need a MOST fibre cable to insert the nav into the fibre optic ring.
Depending on the spec of your car you may need the sharks fin antenna on the roof - mine has the fone as standard so a connection for the GPS feed was already there. You will have to drop part of the rear roof lining to see if the FAKRA connector is there. Cables are readily available on ebay for the nav to the antenna.
Just plug it all up and you are ready to go - mine took about 2 hours to fit.
