Car and Driver reports no Avant. I suppose an Allroad might not make it? The do love to torture us about its continuance.

The avant is stunning in the S5 trim!!!
Have to say this is a really nice interior!
Front end a bit generic, but rest of the car is quite pretty!
We are not shopping and quite happy with our 70k mile 2018 Allroad. But if we were the this would be attractive but if no Allroad perhaps the New Toyota Crown Sigma is next? We sport wagon fans are losing choices!!!!

No Avant. Does that mean no Avant in Allroad trim also? I don't know. I posted what read and what I know.
I recall the B9 was not initially determined if the Allroad was to be made let alone imported.
The Avant I believe sold better than the sedans for years in Europe.
At the same time im not sure Europe gets all the Q's?

I too have read in a few places that the A5 Sedan, Cabriolet and Wagons are no more for the USA. The A5 Sportback is the sole offering. I'm not sure what the VAG execs are thinking, but I can't say I'm surprised the Wagon/Avant is dead in the US.

Yeah more I think about it the more I think Audi is being really shortsighted not to bring both the new A5 sportback and wagon (avant, touring) here.
We can probably live without a true sedan. We can live without allroad lifted version ... cool as it is. But to skip out totally on their best design, both elegant sporty AND practical, is just plain stupid on their part. Just bring us the same mix as europe dang it!
The tide is turning on wagons here - Audi should lead that trend, it is the DNA of the brand.
