Default How to find non-dealer Audi service

Hi All, I have an 2018 Audi A5 that's about 32K miles. I am actually due for the 60K service but it seems really expensive from the dealer. I feel my car is a "cream puff" and I've always taken it in whenever the reminders came (based on time, not mileage). Recently my dash started stating that I need to go into service. I feel I only need an oil change and air filter replacement, but the local dealerships are saying I NEED the 60K mile service, which is about $600.

Can anyone recommend what I should do?

If that's the service that includes replacing spark plugs , $600 seems like a decent price.

60k for the CYMC is engine oil, engine oil filter, engine air filter, cabin filter. That's all do in your own garage stuff to me. $600 is ridiculous for that, but not so much if you're paying others to do it for you. And if it's including spark plugs, then seems perfectly fine.

oil filter, 06L115562B, ~$20
oil, 5qt+1qt, ~$50
air filter, 8W0133843C, ~$40
cabin filter, 4M0819439B, ~$35
spark plugs, 4x 06K905601B, ~$60
labor, 2 hour, ~$400
tax, ~$40

That's just throwing out some numbers so you have some framework. The actuals will depend on what they're actually billing. No idea what dealerships are charging for labor these days, and no doubt the price varies wildly with location. I'd buy the stuff for ~$200 and do it all myself.

As for a non-dealership shop, maybe ask around of other Audi owners, maybe you're in one of the areas with a forum board here to ask about local service: https://www.audiworld.com/forums/nor...iscussion-206/ Look for "VW/Audi" shops and read reviews.

I'm pretty sure every even (20,40,60...) interval also includes brake fluid flush and fill. (at least mine does, as did my 2021 A5)
