SQ8 Limping left turn
Several times now when turning left across a divided 4 lane road (2 lanes each way with a center divider) I've had this weird thing happen. I mash the accelerator and get the normal acceleration for a second or two, then the power just DROPS to almost nothing for several seconds. It's almost caused me to get hit a couple of times. Is this a collision avoidance thing and the system is picking up the center median or the opposite curb as an obstacle or another vehicle or what? Has anyone else experienced this or have any idea what I need to turn off so it stops happening?

Your situation sounds similar to a problem with the early Q8s. When the auto stop/start was engaged and you didn't quite come to a full stop, then accelerated briskly, the engine would sag for second. There were dozens of complaints on the NTSA site. Audi eventually released a software update that corrected the issue. I always have thought that the Q8s had a very awkward tip in when accelerating from a standstill. This was marginally improved by the update. But your car is an SQ and the left turn condition is unique. I only mention the earlier issue as it might help you explain the symptoms to your Audi tech writer....who should recall the earlier problem. Good luck.
