Another random question: on my 2021 A4, which is a S line (maybe with black optics package), there are 2 brackets to mount a front license plate (I assume?) integrated to the honey comb grille.
Being in Florida, I don't need a front plate so I am curious as to whether it's possible to remove those brackets.

It's discussed, in one of the B9 forums. Searching B9 A4, B9 A5 forums should turn it up. You can separate the front and back halves of the mounts to remove them. But I think the idea is you need to remove the bumper cover to effectively work with the back half to unlock it.
Yes, they can be removed. How they are attached varies between model & years. On my MY22 Allroad, they were held in place using clips(tabs) that needed pressed a certain direction. On my MY23 S4, there was a T25 screw at the rear of the brackets. Remove that top cover so you can access behind the grill & use a mirror. Search the A4 forums, as there was detailed instructions there. No need to remove the grill,
