He is not kidding... Palmdale is the armpit of SoCal, although rent s/b cheap
I will never wish the fate of living in Palmdale even to my worst enemy!

Whats too far?
The 14 freeway moves pretty good if you are going opposite direction of traffic. Theres a community right at the 5 and 14 thats pretty new and much much better.

the areas i recommended would be under 1 hr. Closer to like 30,
I highly suggest you look at surrounding areas before palmdale. The houses/apt in palmdale are relatively new, but its the people that live in those home is what makes the area horrible.

I only drive through on the way to vegas, never really stopped there.
But I can imagine it not being any better than Palmdale.
What company is in palmdale? I dont remember any large companies out there. That is one of the problems with palmdale. There isnt enough high paying jobs out there to attract better people. The only thing I can think of out there is Edwards Air Force base I think.
