Default Has anyone successfully billed the state for a bent wheel? <edited>

<Anyone can bill california, but has anyone COLLECTED?>

*#!@#^ Cal Trans is sooo damn slow about fixing potholes. I've got two bent wheels getting fixed right now, and the whole set is being refinished so they'll all be pretty like new.

So even if you weren't successful, where do I start if I want to file papers?

TIA

Default My brother had this happen ....

Take pictures of the pothole ASAP b4 they fill it in. Note where its located (street, intersection, city, etc)
My brother didnt n they filled it in a day after he cracked his rim. :\

Then youll need to contact the local city hall/government that the pothole is in and theyll send you out some paperwork to fill out. Fill it out and send it in and hope you get paid.

My brother waited to long to send in his paperwork so it became void.

g'luck

Another route might be your insurance. If your deduct is low enough it could work out better that way.

Default Where did this happen?

You might want to file a claim with the City if it was on the City's street. You may have better success.

Default I tried....

if it happened in Los Angeles, there is a form that you can download from the Los Angeles website. They denied my claim stating that they did not know there was a pothole there, even though it was fixed a week later. Good luck.

Go directly to Truwheel, and speak to the owner. (Mike)
