i know Dubwars is this weekend, but is there anything going on around San Diego?
thursday, friday, saturday, sunday, or monday? i'll be in town visiting some old friends and figured i'd try to make it out to a GTG if there was one going on.

hmmm... i'm not all that familiar with all the cities in LA...
there are two GTG's on thursday, one in Woodland Hills (isn't that closer to LA?), and another in Venice/Culver City. i have no clue where those are 
i know i'll mainly be staying in La Jolla near the UCSD campus.
last weekend wasn't a possibility for me. the main reason i'm going out there this weekend is to catch the Cubbies play out there. hopefully i'll make it back out there later in the summer as well.
if anyone knows any good finance companies that are hiring, i wouldn't mind getting out of the drab midwest permanently for some fun in the sun.

Well you will just miss the Fusion gtg, which is not far from La Jolla
but is on weds night. Most of everyone will be getting ready for dubwars on thursday and friday.
I am sure there are plenty of companies looking to hire, just pick up the paper while your hear.

Those gtg's are a bit far.
Woodland hills is a good 1.5 to 2hr north from UCSD, and the Culver City/Venice just over an hour to 1.5 north of you. You'll be on some major fwy arteries, so the traffic could be pretty brutal depending on the time.
Dubwars is this Sunday, and not far from you. Otherwise the Fusion gtg in Kearney Mesa is quite close on Wednesday.
