Indie shop in north county? (SD)

I'm moving to Carlsbad very soon, and am wondering if there are any good indie shops (not tuners) in north county. La Jolla Autotech seems to get great reviews, but that's a bit out of the way.

Shear Speed in Escondido is pretty legit...

Kind of a hole-in-the-wall place, but they know what they're doing and have good rates.
