Default One word: Fontana!

Went to the Speedventures event at Fontucky (click for pics), aka Fontana!
These guys were bigtime serious!!
Man, I need some track tires, and a limited slip, and some coilovers, and a full racing bucket seat, and a 2.6L........

By the way, that was Memo Gidley leaning over the engine bay of a Subaru he was testing, very cool guy, I was lucky to park right next to them!!

Default holy crap.... I was there yesterday...

I was out there shooting some photos of the drifting, for a magazine.

I saw that A4 with CF hood pull into the infield and went in there myself.

Watched a few laps from those old wooden stands....

There was no one watching the inlet to the track.
I could have just pulled my new S4 right out onto the circuit.
Crazy.........

Looking forward to the next one there, as it looks like a fun place to run.

Plus, my buddy and I are going to come out there to run at the Kart track there... it was gorgeous.

Memo Gidley was there huh... cool.

We saw that Red Subie going out onto the circuit when were driving away...

Default The marshaling was real "loose" I went out on 2 "double stints"...

They did a good job, just very low key.
I went out in two different groups back to back, twice! I did about 2½ hours of track time!!!
a few peolpe got black flagged, so the marshals were definately doing thier jobs....

I watched the drifterz for a little while as I was leaving, man, it looked brutal (and downright abusive) how they were driving thier cars!!!
I was suprised some didn't end up with broken suspension or bent and cracked pickup points!!!

Default I wasn't implying the Marshalls weren't doing thier job, but at 2:30...

I drove all the way down, through the paddocks to the track inlet.

Parked behind the bleachers on the grass and watched a bit.

I could have just driven out onto the circuit if I wanted to.....

no matter... can't wait to run out there.

Default It's not just a Lotus thing...

It's to keep glass and plastic from shattering and becoming track debris. This is a requirement for all cars, at most events.

Default is the rear spoiler on that red wrx installed backward?

maybe is the reflection... but it looks like the leading edge is higher than the trailing edge.
