Default SpeedtrialUSA, anyone here go to their track events?

I don't know anything about the group, but was thinking about going to an upcoming track event. Any feedback on how they run their track days and what kind of people/cars show up to them? Trying to avoid a "rubbing is racing" group. Thanks.

Default No, you'll only have my father to kick around

You going? Besides, if I stay off the track, I might be able to capture the So Cal No. 1 slowpoke award.

By the way, your sig looks like you're having a garage sale. Big changes underway with the car?

Default I saw them at Willow Springs this weekend and they seemed pretty full of rice racers

And they were pretty darn full. Lots of cars on the track which is not much fun. I did a track day with Speed Ventures at the California Speedway and had a very good experience. I'd say check on how busy a particular track day is and go off of that. I have also been wanting to check out the Touring Car Racing Association, they look like a good group from their website.

Default Yeah, leaving Wednesday. I'll let a few passes by in your honor.

It's going to take a lot more staying at home to get the slowpoke title from me.

About the garage-sale sig - pretty tacky, eh? No changes to the car - just a poor bastard trying to make a buck...

You going to be able to keep me company on the San Diego drive in December? I'll buy the brats if you buy the beers....

That's because my son loves watching the video of "Daddy passing Grampa on the racetrack!" He has to be sorry that he gave me a copy of the tape.

I think the title is mine anyway, but we could have a run off. Will there be any parts left on your car? I'll take the video camera set up and harnesses. As for San Diego, I have an office party Dec 2, so I don't think I can get my old azz down to San Diego the following morning.

Default Thanks for the info

I saw a video that someone posted from that group and it seemed like there were some wild drivers. I'll check out the other groups you mentioned.

He has been thanking me for slowing up in the corners so I can stay in the video. I don't think he meant it as a compliment though.
