anyone have experience fighting speeding tickets in Cobb County?

I mentioned that I knew the radar was there, and...
Years ago, Gwinnett County. Detector sounded off, I slowed down. (Yes, I was speeding) Cop may have measured me, or traffic on the parallel highway.
Went to court, cop not there, only a "representative" of the police department, which is standard procedure there.
When I mentioned that my detector gave me advance notice, and allowed me to "check" that my speed was legal, the judge said "if you have a radar detector, you must have been speeding."
Since I was speeding, considerable faster than what I was tagged for, I accepted the punishment without further protest. I figured I'd give it a try anyway, but I didn't expect a statement like that from the judge..
