Default Update - Atlanta Jim Ellis Audi Mechanics - Good / Bad???

so they call a little while ago and say my car won't get worked today on b/c the mechanic is out sick.

counting today, it will be 5 full days they've had my car and they haven't even diagnosed the problem let alone start fixing it.

Default Well, since you'll be out of warranty soon, you can start picking your shop>>

The dealer pretty much has a captive audience for warranty biz.

Default Update part 2

Apparently the tech is back and hopefully feeling better. I just got a call from the service deptpartment asking me some questions about the sound.

in case anybody has this problem...ticking sounds like a sewing machine, increases with rpm and doesn't stop when warmed up.

he mentioned he thought it might be the cam tensioners and i've read on the boards that it's quite common on 2001+

2001.5 Santorin S4
Stock.. but not for long :]

Default I'm almost glad..

I'd rather have my car worked on by Euro-Tech anyway. They only work on Audi, VW and Porsche and charge 50/hr for tuning and service.

Incredible bunch of guys and completely honest. They only want whats best for your car, not your money. They really love what they do.

If it's not german, don't even ask.

.. and no, i don't work there.
