Default Few pics from Audi Club Cherokee Chapter Nalley Meeting

Thanks so much to Nalley and all who attended-- nice to see both familiar and lots of new faces!

I'll post some more pics later today.

Default Good turnout! While it is fresh...some ideas -

Aside from the planned track type activities, I liked the idea of tech sessions or mod days.

Personally, I think these need to be kept relatively small to be successful.

I'd love to see a rolling list / calendar of who may be doing a certain mod/maintenence on their car and would be open to doing it with a few others. Or thrwo out what people want to get done in the hopes that they can contact each other and work out the details.

I'd be glad to offer my driveway at times, I'm sure others would volunteer to 'host' once in awhile as well. Example "person x will be changing brake fluid on xyz date. Can host 4 others if interested. Contact person x if you want to participate".

-Maybe this fits better in the AW world than Quattro Club?

Default Thanks!

I'm hoping we can get a club event / tech day going here this year:

<img src="http://pictureposter.audiworld.com/76421/p6110039a.jpg">

Just waiting on the go-ahead from Tom once he's ready. Maybe after the lift goes in! As you mention, with a larger number of people, we won't be able to do work on everyone's car, but these sessions will be more about goofing off on a Saturday and learning a little than actually getting something done on one's own car, though if someone needed brake pads or an oil change that would be easy to work in.

I'll too offer my garage up for some impromptu tech days if someone is looking to do a specific project. In fact, pretty much every weekend involves a tech day for me. Here's last weekend:

Default It's not too difficult...

I just printed off the tech article on it, made sure I had the right tools and plenty of time to do it. I went pretty slow on the first one, to make sure I didn't screw anything up. After that, the second one was a breeze. Feel free to e-mail me if you have any questions about it.
