Default A few snaps from today's run up to N. GA.

All was going well when we met up until "they" showed up and said they were going to the mountains too. Before the day was done, we had a sneaky suspicion one of them didn't make a corner on 348. Can't verify it, but by the looks of the scene, quite possible.

180 on the way to Brasstown Bald.

Making our way up Brasstown Bald. It was soooo much better than last fall with some heat soaking going on. Temps were in mid-low 30's with lots of wind at the top.

At the top..didn't stay to soak up the view too long with the chill.

Off of 348, we found a very interesting scene.

Default More pics.

I say we search all the 350z forums to see if we can find out what happened on 348.

My favorite pics are the last two.

Default Founds some pics of the 350Z

It seems there was gravel in the corner. You can find the thread here.

Default Wow. Thats nuts.

We passed right by that shortly after it happened. Couldn't see anything because it was such a steep drop. There was a LOT of gravel/salt all over the roads up there. I've got quite a few chips on my week old paint now haha.

He should have bought a Quattro.

Default I haven't led any mountain drives since we had our incident

We were on 180 heading towards Suches and an E46 M3 convertible went into a curve too hot, dropped a wheel into the dirt, over-corrected, and went sideways over the next curve and slid down the embankment upside down. No one was hurt until the passenger unbuckled his seatbelt and hit his head on a rock LOL (you have to laugh at this due to the irony). Car was totaled, but he still had a Z8 at home in the garage.

Anyways if I go again, I will only lead people whom I know won't drive above their abilities. This guy was relying on his stability control to keep him in line.
