Moving to SC or GA. How much are tags and insurance.
I will be working in Savannah and own property in SC. I can probably claim either place as residency and get tags and drivers license.
How much do tags in SC run and how much in GA?
How much is insurance in each state?
I appreciate all those that answer this and maybe you earn a free brewski from me.

GA: 2000 TT is about US$300/6 months. Tags were 185 or so.
I have a moving violation in the last 3y, so YMMV. I alos ensure it completely, low deductibles everywhere: USAA is my friend!

Here is SC...you pay personal property tax on cars before you can get a tag
that tax is according to which county you live in here in SC. The tag is really cheap..like $15 ..but the tax is high on a newer car. Guess the insurance varies from company to company and what coverage you have. You are just going to have to call around...we use State Farm for all our insurance needs. That way you do get a little discount for that..plus good driving record...
