Brought the car in because it was throwing a check engine light. I was very upfront about having a chip because I don't think they should pay for problems caused by the chip. I told them that I thought the problem was O2 sensor related, but that if it turned out to be chip related I would pay for the diagnostic time etc. They then informed me that even if it was O2 sensor related I would have to pay for it because they have a blanket policy regarding chips.
Turns out it was a checksum error from the APR chip so I gladly paid for their time. The other comical thing was after finding the checksum error, they told me it was the "worst possible scenario" and I was gonna have to pay $1200 for a new ECU. Almost like they were trying to scare me into thinking I was screwed.
They are also bad at time estimates. For my 30k service, I said I would wait around because I was told it would take "about an hour". 2.5 hours later I get my car back with the option of waiting another 30 minutes for the free car wash. When I got home I submitted a complaint through their website and 3 days later got a response thanking me for my interest in a new Audi.
On my older Audi 90, they goofed so many repairs that I don't even want to spend the time to write them.
This is the reason I keep my cars way past the warranty. I would much rather take my car to an independent shop and pay for service then have the warranty service built into the price of the car and feel compelled to bring it to the dealer. They all suck, though Nalley sucks a little less than Ellis.

I'm sorry you had a problem, however, you have to realize that the technicians also have to wait for things, too.Sometimes there is a line in parts as they are short on help, and there might be other "waiters" in front of you.I wouldn't want to sit around a dealership waiting room, either, but if you HAVE to stay and wait for your vehicle, you need to be patient.Besides, you could go next door to the bar at Applebees!
