picking up a 2nd B6 A4 1.8T for the wife, and she wants as soft/comfortable a ride as possible. The car has OEM sport suspension on now, which I plan on replacing with OEM non-sport. I have a set of Koni FSDs I could use since I just took them off my car (decided to go with the Eibach pro-dampers to complement the pro-kit springs I'm running) or I could use the OEM non-sport shocks. Ignoring any handling/performance issues, which will give a softer ride?

I have a B6 3.0 Avant non-sport. Ride is very comfortable on HWY. Sometimes choppy around town, but never really "harsh".

I would think the FSD shocks, due to the "active" damping, would be superior to the stock non-sport in terms of giving a comfortable ride since they are supposed to absorb the sharp hits but still control the low-frequency stuff.

Since you have em, why not put the on.

that's probably what I'll do. If there isn't any real improvement however, or if they are more harsh under certain circumstances, then I'd just as soon sell them and use the OEM non-sport shocks which I have anyway, and avoid having to install them later if the wife doesn't like the FSD ride quality. Though I am down to just under 4hrs on a complete install, and could cut another 10-15 mins off that if I had a better spring compressor.
