"Value" is determined by seller. "Worth" is determined by buyer...
value can be anything but never once will "worth" be one red cent more than what ANY prospective buyer is willing to peel off in dead presidents and hand you.
I've never understood why all these questions regarding "worth" when selling anything. Seller cannot detrmine "worth." The best he/she can hope for is to set a fair value. One that works for both parties.
You can have the most unique and valueable "widget" in the world. One that you've put your heart and guts into. Yet still its the buyer alone that determines its worth. Always has been, always will be.
Ask whatever ya want, take whatever you get. If its not enough you're not done driving it yet. Its THAT simple!

All of my comments today have been on what I think the cars are worth...
...if anyone here thinks a '95 90 quattro (see below) is worth $7k, they're nuts. There are plenty newer/better/etc cars to be had for that kind of money. You know what you found your '95 to be worth as did I. I'm basing worth on these cars off of that...to pay nearly twice as much 2 years later, to me (and for more mileage than both of our cars had at the time) is absurd.
Now if someone has to have that car, fine, pay away, but is it worth it to me (or anyone with half a brain), probably not.

I think the key is to not buy into these questions...
Neither your or I would ever buy a car due to a single paragraph where someone says "good condition, fair condition, needs lots, needs nothing, high miles, low miles (my personal favorite ad of late from yesterday is engine "looks" good... in spite of the fact that all its rod and main caps might be lying on the floor of the oil pan it "looks" good?).
We have a hard enough time assigning "worth" even when we pore over a car with a fine-tooth comb. How can we possibly profess any semblence of worth/value whatever by hearing someone say "good condition" to a car they're selling. How many ever say "its a real POS" I'm selling!?!"
Most cars I've seen touted as "good condition" were a POS. Most touted as excellent condition were only good. Most immaculate were also only good. Most mint condition were good-excellent... and NEVER "mint."
Given everyone has their own idea of condition its not worth very much and certainly not my and perhaps your definition.
I will only proffer value/worth when I know a car first-hand and had a year or two of being around it. Beyond that I'm not qualified to help with estimates as I dont know the car or person selling it from a ham sandwich.

Price not only varies by person, it's also by region. Cars in the Northwest go for much more....
...than cars in the southwest or Rockies Region. I can figure with all the rust issues, why cars in NY go for so much.
