A3 8PA 2.0TDI - trouble starting
Hi guys.
I drive a 2006 A3 8PA 2.0TDI Sportback quattro 140hp.
The car has the following problem regarding ignition.
I have to hold the key for about 10 or 15 seconds before the engine finally starts.
This happens once per week. Or about once per 20 or 30 normal(smooth) ignitions.
Usualy happens when the car hasn't been driven for several days.
The battery is good and the starter motor is okay.
The fuel pump also seems to be turning on while I am holding the key pressed.
This has been going on for 5 years.
I can't find what is causing this.
Can anyone help me?
