Hi
I have a 2.0 tdi engine with poor performance. One day it stopped without any signs in advance. It will not start without breathing out of crankcase, and when it runs smoke Is coming out of the filler cap or the breather hose when it is disconnected. Trough the breather hose also oil vapor. It stalls after a short while and do not drives.
I guess many reasons can create this.
1) worn piston rings, but so suddenly and I thought this engines was bulletproof in the short block. And the car should have run, at least poorly
2) hole in one of the pistons, but again what is mentioned above
3) clogged exhaust, sot have fallen of the intake, and is now blocking the catalyst or dpf. But no
error codes on high back pressure
The engine is in a a4 allroad 2012 and 90' mileage. Only error code was on one of the glow plugs.
any ideas?
