Anyone know if you can update the software on the rns-d?
TerminA8r and I have been exchanging notes on the difference in features on the nav system in his 2003 S8 versus my 2001 S8...one cool difference is that although both show the "current street" his also shows the direction "compass based" that you are currently traveling.
In comparing our two systems (both are rns-d), mine shows the following:
HW-Version
BNS 4.1
SW-Version
0002
His is...
HW-Version
BNS 4.2
SW-Version
0008
So of course it brings up the question of whether or not it is possible to change the software version on the rns-d!
Anyone have any insight they can share regarding updating the software?
