Default Got caught in some water last night.....

I was going down eldridge past bellaire, and before i knew it I was driving through water....the road ahead was ALL flooded, but cars were still driving through. I busted a U turn as soon as i could and got back on Bellaire. I think i drove through water that was probobly half way up the wheel. Got home and checked the oil, it looked fine, checked it again before going to work and it still was okay....it drove fine coming to work. Is there anything i should be worried about?????

Default Drive it around to warm things up, then pull the fill plug.

You can stick your finger in the hole (now now guys, no comments) and see if it's milky.

Make sure you pull the fill plug and not the drain plug. The drain plug is probably the anti-tamper triple square type. The fill plug is metric hex, so you'll need the right driver.

Default Would submerged wheel/axle bearings require a look? I know they are resistant

to water splash but total submersion while operating is another story. Like "sealed" bearings on a mountain bike - not! - could they need re-packing? I don't know but raising the question.

Default Probably valid, but not something easily "checked"

I put check in quotes, because by the time you're in there, you might as well re-pack or replace altogether.
