Got my first ticket in 6 years!
I passed this constable on the beltway this morning (it was unmarked) and about 10 seconds later I see his overheads come on..."****!!!!" I look down and I was over 100mph.
I pull over, he walks up to the car and asks the same crap as always. I give him my info and he walks back to his car. He comes back about 5 minutes later with his ticket book and I am freaking out...did he know I was doing 100MPH or not?! Figured he would jsut write me up for what he thought my speed was.
He comes up next to me and tells me that since he has no idea how fast I was going he was giving me a citation for failing to signal.
SWEEEEEEET!
So I'll take care of this and be happy that it doesn't go as a moving violation and bend me over with my insurance company.

Failing to signal is a moving violation...
...and it seems that constables are Sprecher's specialty. I'm also curious about how it was an unmarked car but then lit you up with his overheads. Can you elaborate on what the car looked like a bit?

Jeebus. You haven't had that P-car 2 weeks and you're already getting pulled over
you should have gotten an allroad/S4 avant then you wouldn't have to worry about the cops pulling you over for speeding.
They'd be like "I must be seeing thing Earl... they don't make station wagons that go fast."

It is a moving violation?!
So it will go against me on my insurance? CRAP!!!!!!!!
It was a white unmarked Caprice with lights inside the car. I say overheads because I'm used to saying that. HE had lights on his dash and on the outside of his mirrors.

Of course it is. You were driving the car and failed to operate it as required by law...
...just like speeding, running a stop light, passing on a double yellow, driving the wrong way down a street, failing to yield, etc...

No it does not.
Radar does not work when going in the same direction. It calculates the time it takes to get back to the gun. If you're going the same directions it doesn't work.

I thought some things affected your insurance and some didn't.
Guess I'll call David! Maybe he'll give me the hookup even though I'm divorced from Shelly now?!
