Default Were you there?

I was having major boost issues...I mean major. I did manage to pull off a bunch of 13.5's. I was very dissapointed. Boost would only go to 20psi max and would not hold and be below 14psi @5ooorpms. Somethings wrong. Im usually holding 20psi at that point. If boost wouldnt of taken a crap I would have done better.

Default Get a light weight racing seat for the driver's side

You can save more weight this way. Might look into getting a smaller battery. You can also take off your muffler while you are on the strip. Just make sure the exhaust doesn't exit too close to any wirings/lines under the car.

Default I really just want light 17"s and some good tires...

Default 20psi at high rpm's on a k04 1.8T doesn't sound like much more power than 14psi at those same rpms..

...I'd bet there's less than 20 more HP to be had going from 14-20psi, with the flow limitations of a single K04 going to 1.8 liters. Heck, 20psi is about the limit for us S4 guys on very similar K04's, and each one of our K04's only has to feed 1.35 liters.

Default Taking seat out doesn't "trigger" air bag

It just triggers your air bag warning light. I believe there's a way around it by adding a resister. Didn't you take out your passenger seat? I don't think having an airbag light on will affect the way your car runs. If you want some wheels for drag racing only, you should look at something even smaller than 17s. Just make sure that they clear your brakes.

Default That is true.

I think someone over at the TT forum did a calculation on how much hp the K04 can support. If I remember correctly, it was somewhere around 300hp. Any more power would have to be made by a larger turbo.
