Default In or around a good part of Houston, Texas, for under $110,000, in 2003?

I think you're about 6 years too late to be looking for a good home at that price in this town. Good luck though. Where do you work/intend on working? What are your priorities in a home?

Good luck dude. If you want something inside Beltway 8, it's gonna be tough.

You're either going to get a handyman special from hell, or hit the 'burbs way out.

Default You could move over to the Meadows near Stafford....

and grow your sideburns out and live 70's style! =P They houses there are around what you want to spend, but most of them aren't much to look at. Expect everything that can possibly go wrong to break as soon as you move in since they are so old.

Default Impossible inside the loop. Look to the burbs in NW or West Houston.

Inside the starts at $160k and up. Townhomes for $220k plus.

Default Try the spring branch area close to the beltway north of 1-10.

It will need work for sure and will be small.

Default I was building a Royce Homes up at 1960 and the Hardy Toll Road....

2050 sq ft, three bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms, two car garage and a large gameroom. By the time I added a few options, I was at about $118,000.

You could try out that direction.

Or, look at the southwest part of town for something.

You may be able to find a small townhome or condo for that much, but not a house.

Hope that helps.

Wherever you buy stay far away from I-10. I deal with it every day and it SUCKS. (weekends too!)
