Default German owners' club, visiting Ingolstad recently, had very firm info that such plans are scrapped.

This was reportedly said squarely, up front, as opposed to usual diplomatic mumbo-jumbo about "no immediate plans to release a V6".

Two and a half years after presenting the 225 to the press it's time for some upgrade, whatever form or shape it may take...

Default In politics, a firm denial means it's imminent!

There must be some desire to match or exceed the M3's 333hp.

Default Actually, there will be an upgrade...

Follow the link to see the new "improved" TTSS coming your way from Audi and its attorneys.<ul><li><a href="https://www.audiworld.com/forum/m/tt/msgs/69019.phtml">TTSS</a></li></ul>

Default TT is not the M3 competition in the Audi lineup, S4 is, dontcha think?

And I can't wait to see what Audi does with the new S4 based on the new A4. The new A4 is 180bhp stock.

Default Actually I heard about Progressive insurance's new program

offered in Texas (if I remember right) where you agree to have a GPS installed in your car that tracks your whereabouts, speed, and other driving characteristics. In exchange you can see lower premiums for your conservative, safe driving that is documented by big brother Progressive.

Would be a good option on your sstt.

Default I might be wrong but

I don't see S4 Vs M3 as a real competition.. If the M3 was made to compete against an S4 then BMW has its priorities all wrong.. The S4 is, imo, in a different category due to the much lower price and 2 extra doors.. IMO the real competition for the M3 is the Cobra R, Chevy Z06, Saleen 351.. I see the M3 as more of a race bred car while the S4 is more for fun on the streets.. And if someone was to compare an S4 and M3 imo to make the comp fair a modded S4 would be called for (chip, exhaust, coilovers) to slim down the price difference.. Otherwise the M3 would get over 10,000 more in extras..

Price is about the same. 45k+ range. Chipped S4 is faster than an M3.
